Editor’s pick from this week’s briefing
On June 9, 2020, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that new provider relief funds were available to providers who participate in state Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Programs (CHIP). Home health providers are eligible if they have not already received payments from the Provider Relief Fund. $15 billion is available for distribution, and about two-thirds of that total is intended for safety net hospitals (hospitals that serve vulnerable populations regardless of insurance status). Click here for more information about eligibility and the application process.
