LENEXA, Kan. — April 4, 2018 — Mediware Information Systems, Inc., announces that it has joined the Future of Infusion Advisory Council (FIAC) of the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA), the organization representing providers and suppliers of home and specialty infusion therapy.
The FIAC brings together industry-leading manufacturers, distributors, group purchasing organizations, and other suppliers to address critical health care issues that impact the home and specialty infusion industry. Commito brings with her more than 20 years of home care experience and unmatched insight on technology’s vital role in helping home infusion pharmacies meet industry challenges, including changing reimbursement and increased reporting requirements. Chapman leads Mediware’s national sales team in home care. He brings more than ten years of sales leadership experience in working with thousands of home health, hospice, and home care agencies across the country.
“I’m honored to join this group of forward-thinking professionals as we work together to ensure continued innovation in the home infusion industry,” said Commito. “At Mediware, I’ve seen firsthand how technology can unlock new ways for providers to succeed and deliver care, and I’m thrilled to share what I’ve learned with NHIA and the advisory council,” said Commito. “We look forward to actively participating in FIAC and breaking down the traditional silos that keep healthcare from reaching its full potential. Together, we can create clearer pathways that support the success of providers and ensure patients receive the best care possible,” said Chapman.
Mediware also looks forward to attending the 2018 NHIA Annual Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, on April 23-26, 2018. Customers, partners, and providers are encouraged to stop by the Mediware booth #231 to see live demonstrations of CareTend® and attend expert speaking sessions during exhibit hours. Mediware also encourages providers to support the NHIA Foundation by participating in the “Raise the Foundation” cocktail reception and to attend Mediware and MSD’s annual customer appreciation event at the Sheraton Grand Phoenix. Both events take place on April 24.
“We’re pleased to welcome Mediware as our newest FIAC supplier council member,” said Tyler Wilson, president of NHIA. “Mediware’s commitment to support the work of NHIA and its expertise in developing innovative solutions to advance the delivery of care to patients will serve as a valuable resource to the FIAC.”
