Kinnser ADL®, Kinnser’s software for in-home care, will be used by the more than 250 franchise businesses of Senior Helpers.
Austin, TX – September 22, 2015 – Kinnser Software, Inc., caps the third quarter of 2015 with the signing of its newest customer, Senior Helpers, one of the country’s largest in-home senior care companies — a milestone in Kinnser’s rapidly growing market share. The selection of Kinnser was announced on Friday during the Senior Helpers 2015 Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida. In attendance at the conference were Senior Helpers’ executive leadership, franchise owners from across the nation, and members of the Kinnser management, customer service, training, product, and sales teams.
All Senior Helpers franchises will utilize Kinnser ADL®, Kinnser’s web-based software for home care agencies, to improve client service, streamline scheduling, and enhance communication between caregivers, clients and families. Kinnser has created a customized implementation and training plan for Senior Helpers that will allow all of their franchisees to maximize quality while reducing operational costs in the shortest time possible. A pilot group of franchisees is already using the software, reporting excellent results.
“We want our company and our franchise owners to have a performance-oriented software solution,” said Craig Leonard, President of Senior Helpers. “Kinnser will provide our franchisees with an abundance of tools that will enable them to compete and grow in an increasingly challenging market. Kinnser ADL’s mobile technology and comprehensive communication platform make it the right solution for our needs. And Kinnser’s track record of quality and innovation make it the right partner for our company.”
Senior Helpers was founded in 2001 with a vision to help seniors who wish to remain in their homes despite age-related illnesses and mobility challenges. Today, the company has over 250 franchised businesses operating across the country. Senior Helpers has now cared for tens of thousands of seniors with a pledge to provide “care and comfort at a moment’s notice.” Senior Helpers offers a wide range of personal care and companion services, including trained Alzheimer’s and dementia care services, to assist seniors who wish to live independently.
Kinnser makes the most widely used software solutions in home care. The company’s solutions for private duty home care, home health, therapy and hospice are used by more than 3,600 agencies of all sizes across the United States. Tens of thousands of caregivers and clinicians use Kinnser daily to coordinate care for hundreds of thousands of clients and patients. In the last 12 months alone, more than 21 million home care and hospice visits were scheduled with Kinnser solutions. “The only measure of our success as a company is the success of our customers,” says Chris Hester, Kinnser’s founder and president. “Customers are the focus of everything we do. Even our investments in research and development — which are greater this year than ever before — are to make our customers more efficient.”
Kinnser regularly appears on lists of the nation’s fastest-growing technology companies. The Austin-based company has appeared on Inc. magazine’s list for five years and on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 list for three consecutive years. Built on customer service, the company’s mission is to harness the power of innovation to help home care, home health, and hospice businesses deliver care more cost effectively, efficiently and sustainably. This core belief in the power of innovation to transform the home care industry is one of the values that distinguish Kinnser from competitors as this dynamic company broadens its reach in the post-acute care market.
Kinnser ADL®, the company’s software solution for private duty home care is a great example of how Kinnser is transforming the home care industry. More than just world-class business software, Kinnser ADL is an entirely new communication platform for home care, one of the nation’s fastest-growing business sectors. “We took a different approach than other solutions on the market,” says Michael McAlpin, vice president of business development for Kinnser Software. McAlpin’s company ADLware was acquired by Kinnser in 2014, resulting in a new solution known as Kinnser ADL. “We wanted to do more — to solve the operational needs of offices with better communication tools, and the results have been extremely rewarding for our customers.” Today, home care offices use Kinnser ADL across the US, Canada, and Australia.
Kinnser ADL was the first home care software to offer integrated telephony, a Mobile GPS Timecard, a Family Access Portal, and an iPhone Application. Kinnser ADL was also the first home care software to expand text message capability so text messages could be sent directly from the software solution, using the SMS Gateway. This capability represents a huge leap forward in efficiency and service quality as the office can now instantly and easily communicate with hundreds of caregivers to fill an open shift.
In addition to adding Senior Helpers to its customer roster, Kinnser’s products are experiencing rapid development due, in part, to an increased financial commitment to research and development that continues to grow by the year. Other milestones for Kinnser in 2015 include expanded tools for enterprise-level financial management, new business intelligence tools, and an offline solution called Kinnser Link®, which allows home health clinicians to document clinical notes even when they cannot access their web-based software solution.
