March 12, 2014 – AUSTIN, TEXAS – Veteran financial executive Brian Thomson has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Kinnser Software, Inc., an Austin-based software company delivering home health clinical and business solutions. Thomson joins Kinnser from Rackspace, Inc., the San Antonio technology server hosting and cloud firm, where he served as US Chief Financial Officer.
In this newly created role, Thomson will be primarily responsible for finance, accounting, human resources and customer support/training. He will participate in the development and execution of corporate strategies that support customer satisfaction and Kinnser’s high growth.

Prior to joining Kinnser, Thomson worked ten years for Rackspace in a variety of roles, including Finance Director-International, Managing Director-International, VP-Corporate Development, and finally US Chief Financial Officer. During Thomson’s tenure with Rackspace, the company grew from $70 million in revenue with 450 employees to $1.5 billion in revenue with over 5,500 employees. Earlier in his career, Thomson held financial management positions at Dell and Daisytek.
Thomson graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Masters in Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business. He earned his Bachelors in Business Administration from Baylor University.
Kinnser Software utilized Bespoke Partners to conduct the CFO search.
Recently marking its tenth anniversary in business, Kinnser announced record revenue growth of 40 percent in 2013. The company serves over 1,800 home health agencies and hospices that cared for more than 550,000 unique patients in 2013.
